Until mid-June 2016, the National Police Service of Ireland had already held three workshops with a focus on the BroadMap project.

The first workshop took place in Galway on 24th May. The other two workshops were both held in Dublin on 13th and 15th June, respectively. Representatives of the police, fire, and specialist police forces participated in the workshops. In total, 17 persons were gathered in the three workshops.

The workshops featured a general presentation of BroadMap, which helped raise the general awareness of the project in Ireland, and a careful reading and discussion of the BroadMap Questionnaire. Participants were eager to express their opinions and the discussions helped identify some additional requirements for PPDR and establish that there is already now a clear demand for broadband technology in Ireland.
